Nepal issues a visa on arrival for most nationalities at Kathmandu airport: $30 for 15 days or $50 for 30 days, plus one passport photo. Your passport should be valid for 6+ months. Confirm your specific requirements with your country's Nepali embassy before booking.
Lower Mustang (Jomsom & Kagbeni) falls within the Annapurna Conservation Area, so no special restricted-area permit is required. We arrange your Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) — just bring two extra passport photos and your passport.
Jomsom and Kagbeni sit around 2,700–2,800m, noticeably higher than Kathmandu. Drink plenty of water and take it easy on arrival. Hepatitis A and Typhoid vaccines are commonly recommended for Nepal — consult your doctor 6–8 weeks before travel, especially if you have heart or lung concerns.
Mustang is a high-altitude desert with strong afternoon winds and big swings between sun and shade. Bring warm layers (fleece or down), a buff or scarf for wind and dust, sturdy closed shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a headlamp.
All meals are included in your €750 retreat price. Bring Nepali Rupees (NPR) for personal spending — ATMs are reliable in Pokhara but scarce once you're in Jomsom or Kagbeni, so withdraw what you'll need before heading up.
We fly Kathmandu → Pokhara → Jomsom, a short scenic mountain flight usually operating only in the early morning due to afternoon winds. Local SIM cards are cheap in Kathmandu or Pokhara; signal in Mustang is intermittent — a good excuse to unplug.
